Little sleepy so I won't type much but here's a list of highlights.

1. Ex already has a new girlfriend. I found out from his relationship status on Facebook. We broke up in July. I think that's all that needs to be said about that.

2. Got a media pass for Fun Fun Fun Fest. Man, it was awesome. Got to meet the band Death and hung out with my friends the whole weekend.

3. Covered a Latino punk rock show at Emo's this weekend. Met The Brat. Man this is the year for reunions.

4. Attended a journalism conference for 4 days and was soooo inspired to write more and incorporate more multimedia stuff on my site. In fact, made a pretty awesome slideshow from Fun Fun Fun Fest. I was proud of myself.

Wow it's been awhile since I've updated here and there's a lot of talk about...

Where to being?

I had been rereading older entries on here because I was looking for information for an article. Speaking of which, have you checked out SoManyBands.net lately? I've been posting like crazy and I'm averaging around 70 returning visits on the site. Sweet! Anyway, I missed updating this thing every day with randomness but thanks to Twitter, Facebook and my paper journal, this poor little guys gets pushed aside.

This weekend I attended a journalism conference that was hosted here in Austin. What an inspiring experience. I had a blast attending day after day of workshops that will help with future projects. We had workshops in all kinds of areas: writing, multimedia, time management, etc. etc. I really learned a lot and have been on a writing kick since then.

Speaking of which, this week is production week for the Accent so I have 4 articles that need to be written as soon as possible. They actually gave us an extra week but I procrastinated. Isn't that what most writers do?

Well, one was going to be done yesterday, however, I had some bad luck trying to find places to cover. I also got bitched out for taking photos of the outside of a shop. Whatever. Her lost.

It was so stupid! Ok, I went to a coffeeshop to review it but it was closed for business. I mean, closed for good. So 2 doors down, there was a kolache shop that I thought would be great to review for the ACC students. So I started taking photos of the outside of the store, mainly just the signs and cute window design she had up. Nothing inside. So I walk inside to get the information and the owner just starts bitching at me. "Who are you? Why are you taking pictures? You should have told me what you were doing." And just kept going on and on and wouldn't let me explain myself. When I would try to explain I was a reporter and trying to do a review, she would just cut me off.

So I just smiled and said Thank you and walked out of the store. She told me she wanted the photos deleted, however, I only took photos outside of her public establishment (which is public because she's open to the public) therefore, the photos are staying.

What a dumbass. I understand she might have been threatened with competition knowing her menu (which she did say "You took photos of my menu") but if she doesn't want that to happen, don't put your menu on the window outside your shop. And also, it wasn't really a menu. It just said "coffee, treat, blah blah blah." Ugh Whatever. Over it.

I'm loving this gaining an extra hour of sleep. I feel more awake now. I actually woke up on time for school this morning and got here earlier than usual. Fun times.

Anywho, time to get to class. I need to write some articles when I get home however, I'm attending Martin Atkins' seminar today at Northridge which should be a fun time. Then gotta head home and write the article out. Man, I need a car. I would have more time to do things if I wasn't on the bus all the time.
